Tonner Scarlett: Doll Fashions by Alana Bennett

This is one of my favorite gowns by Alana Bennett. Posted earlier (around last year) but now with another re-repainted Scarlett.
Multi-layered tulle edged with lace inspired by the white gown worn by Bette Davis in the film "Jezebel".

  6. These dolls and their dresses are so gorgeous, I wish we dressed like this still today. Then again I think of the corsets and think, maybe not!

I also wanted to thank you for the use of your photos for the Gone With The Wind Ball. They were beautiful and a great success. I appreciate it very very much.

I don't think I've ever seen this movie, I've heard of it though. Could be a great movie to rent this fall and settle on the sofa with. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and thank you again.

  7. Thank you everyone: Sares DayLily777, Tiffany, Yellow Rose Arbor, D, BeansieLeigh and Rue,

It was fun to be part of the GWTW blog, although I wasn't very much able to experience it because of the time difference between our countries. As I write (Nov 2009), rumors of a new Tonner Scarlett is going around - speculations are on the Barbeque dress. While overdone, it still is interesting to see what Tonner will do.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. I really do appreciate it. I never imagined that the blog would amount to anything. Really.
Dolls are very expensive for me, so I try to make the most of what I can do with each one. Again, thank you all for dropping by and taking time. = )
